Types and Uses of Serving Trays

Wooden trays: mainly used in some unique restaurants for cutlery delivery, replacement of tableware, wine, dishes, and other services.

Metal Trays: made of stainless steel, silver, copper, and other materials.

It has firmness and durability, long service life, easy maintenance, and wide application. Stainless steel trays are generally used for food transportation and kitchen dishes configuration.  Silver-plated and copper-plated trays are mainly used for placing small items, bills, and valuables.

Plastic non-slip tray: mainly composed of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and other organic or inorganic elements. It has good skid resistance, hygiene and cleanliness, lightweight, acid and alkali resistance, easy nursing, and so on. They are mainly used for restaurant service cutlery delivery, replacement of tableware, wine, dishes consignment, and other services.

They are classified by shape

standard trays (rectangular trays and circular trays) and special-shaped trays (oval trays and special-shaped trays).

Standard trays (round and rectangular) are mainly used as auxiliary tools for restaurant service and kitchen cooking.

Special-shaped trays are mainly used as aids for special cocktail parties or other celebration activities.

Classified by specification

Small trays (diameter less than 30cm): usually used to deliver small utensils, bills, and valuables to the dining table.

Medium-sized trays (diameter is about 40cm): mainly used for setting tables, replacing tableware, wine set, pouring wine, serving drinks, etc.

Oversized trays (round trays with a diameter larger than 45cm and rectangular trays with one side more significant than 50cm): mainly used to consign heavy dishes, drinks, plates, and other items.
